Pontal do Maceió

“The pleasure to receive and the smile to go with it”

Pontal de Maceio is a fishing village 130km south of Fortaleza, capital of Ceara State, in the district of Fortim.  It is settled between the mouths of the rivers Jaguaribe and Pirangi, on a 10km stretch of fine sand, encircled in places by cliffs and renowned grottos.

The sea is always calm and swimming a real pleasure. The warm and shallow lagoons left by a withdrawing tide not only allow children safe play, but they are also great spots for adults to relax.

Life on Pontal beach follows the gentle rhythms of the tide, where every hour has something special to offer.
